Our swimming squad is a well designed
systematic all year round training by our experience competitive swimming and
triathlon coaches. Aim to increase stamina and speed by advance training methods
such as repetition, interval, pyramid and negative split training. Stroke technique
is also covered for swimmers to achieve fluency and efficiency in swimming.
Time trial is undertaken once every 8 to 12 weeks to monitor the progress of
each swimmer and to adjust the training intensity. Aqua Gym will endorse potential
squad swimmers to join open swimming competitions, aquathon and triathlon races.
There are two classes of squad training, Junior Squad and Elite Squad.
The minimum entry requirement of the Junior Squad is 100 IM under 2:20.00. Junior Squad swimmer must train at least twice a week.
The Elite squad is by invitation only and swimmers must train at least 3 times a week. Our coaches not only looking into the swimmerˇ¦s swimming ability but also their personality, learning attitude, discipline and sportsmanship when selecting the Elite swimmer. Dry land training (such as Scott Volkers exercise routine and medical ball) is intergraded to our elite squad training program in order to increase the core body strength, mobility and flexibility of our swimmer. All Elite swimmers must take part in at least two aquathlons and 4 open swimming competitions every year.
